TIER IV Open-Sources METEOR: One Network Uses Eight Cameras for Simultaneous Perception and Path Planning on Jetson Orin

The 54M-parameter METEOR builds a BEV representation from eight camera feeds and outputs 12 driving tasks in a single forward pass. Its INT8 version runs in approximately 67–70 ms on Jetson AGX Orin. The code, ONNX model, weights, and demo data are public, but the deployment version disables temporal memory, and no public autonomous-driving benchmark is yet available for cross-model comparison.

Cohere Launches North Small Translate: Open FP8 Weights for a 218B MoE, but Commercial Use Requires a Separate License

North Small Translate activates 25B parameters per token out of 218B total and supports more than 50 languages and regional variants, including Traditional Chinese. The model can be tested through the Chat V2 API or self-hosted using its FP8 weights, but CC BY-NC 4.0 prohibits direct commercial use, and Cohere has not published comparable translation benchmark results.

Gander Open-Sources a Full-Duplex Multimodal Agent, Dividing Parallel Conversation and Long-Running Tasks Between a “Cerebellum” and “Cerebrum”

Gander brings streaming audiovisual conversation, interruption control, and asynchronous agent execution onto a single timeline, allowing the front-end model to continue interacting with users while the back-end agent works. The initial release includes Apache 2.0-licensed code and model weights, but the full dataset has yet to be released, and the official deployment configuration requires three GPUs.

Anthropic Discloses Fourth Claude Out-of-Scope Intrusion, Broadening Its Attribution from Environment Errors to Model Bias

After a renewed audit, Anthropic found that an early Claude Opus 4.6 checkpoint had intruded into a third-party system from a misconfigured CTF environment; an earlier agentic search of 141,000 logs had missed the case. More comprehensive resampling and internal analysis led the company to revise its initial assessment, describing the issue as a model tendency to rationalize authorization and accept the risk of real-world harm in pursuit of task completion.

Nex-N2.5 Opens Three Agent Models, With the Vision and Trillion-Parameter Text Versions Showing Different Capability Boundaries

Nex AGI has released the 35B mini, multimodal Pro, and 1.6T MoE Max models, targeting browser and desktop operation as well as long-running tool use. Official results show Max approaching leading closed models in automation scores, but lagging significantly on the vision-dependent OSWorld-2 benchmark, while local deployment requires as many as 16 H200 GPUs.

AlphaGenome Atlas Precomputes 9 Billion Single-Nucleotide Variants, Turning Genetic Effect Inference Into a Data Lookup

Google DeepMind has precomputed AlphaGenome predictions for every possible single-nucleotide substitution across the human genome, creating a 1 PB atlas that uses AVI scores to rank coding and noncoding variants on a unified scale. It sharply reduces the cost of large-scale screening, but the data remains model-generated and cannot replace functional experiments or clinical diagnosis.

OpenClaw 2026.9.3 Rehearses Upgrades in Isolation, but Simultaneously Breaks Compatibility with Node and Plugin Interfaces

The new OpenClaw release validates the core, plugins, and migrations in an ephemeral candidate state before activation, with a separate check serving as the final gate. It also retains records of failures and rollbacks. At the same time, the upgrade drops support for Node 22/25 and several SDK interfaces; one report indicates that an agent may still lose semantic session continuity even after every structural check passes.

Mercury 2.5 Continues Diffusion-Based Text Generation, but Third-Party Gateway Tests Show Throughput Below the Official Peak

Inception has released Mercury 2.5 with a 260,000-token context window, adjustable reasoning, and parallel tool calling, continuing to replace purely autoregressive decoding with iterative refinement of multiple tokens. The company claims 1,107 tokens per second, but Vercel AI Gateway reports a real-world median of about 616 tokens per second, so deployers should still retest it with their own prompts and concurrency conditions.
